Since the length of cable needed for power varies from site to site, the two ends of the power adapter are bare terminal ends. You will need to make the power cable according to the actual measurements of the installation site, and assemble the power plug and power terminal on the two ends of the power adapter.
Note
Remember to include the cable gland to cover the adapter side of the surge protector connection.
Slide the cord between the surge protector and power adapter through the cable gland, and then crimp on the power connector. Connect the ground cable as shown.
Slide the cable gland up to the power connector and screw in place. Then secure the cable gland by twisting the top cap into place on the cable gland.
AC power
Install an air switch in the distribution box for lightning protection and leakage protection, or a socket or plug with a fuse.
The adapter is not needed when supplying DC (instead of AC) power to the unit.
Protect the power cord with a soft casing or wiring tube.
The distribution box should be grounded and must protect against the elements.
Strip 12 mm (.47 in) insulating layer with a wire stripper, reserved conductor is used for connection. The power cord length should be kept below 100 m (330 ft).
Note
If the adapter connects to a surge arrester, it must be grounded.
DC power
The AC power cord from the adapter must be less than 30 m (98.4 ft) in length.
Connect steps the power cable in the wiring cavity as follows:
Assemble the power plug on the plug end of the power cable.
Install the power plug on the end of the input. Refer to the labels on the power plug for connecting the live wire, neutral wire, and ground wire to the corresponding terminals separately, and tighten the screws.
Assemble the power terminal for connection to the wiring cavity socket.
Install the power terminal on the end of the output direction. Refer to the image to see the live wire and neutral wire connections.
Thread the power cable to the DC48V interface in the wiring cavity.
Lay the power cable along the wire groove, through the wire clips and out of the wiring cavity through the PWR hole.
After the cable connection is complete in the wiring cavity and you have connected the Ethernet and power connections, close the wiring cavity door and then tighten the door screw using an allen wrench.
