Install Guide

The product is purpose-built for exterior mounting and should be installed by a professional. The following includes considerations when identifying a location for mounting.

  • When determining the specific site for installation, you must include a separation distance of at least 1 meter (3 ft) from any other cellular AP.

  • Ensure that the mounting surface clear of any obstructions or objects that may interfere with the antennas, signal reception, or cables.

  • Position the Cellular AP antennas, and GPS antenna, for optimal signal reception.

    Important

Cellular antenna cables must be no longer than two meters to avoid signal attenuation.

  • Consider factors such as climate, hydrology, geology, the possibility of earthquakes, reliable electric power, and transportation access.

  • Avoid locating the CAP in areas with extreme temperatures, harmful gases, unstable voltages, volatile vibrations, loud noises, flames, explosives, or electromagnetic interference (e.g., large radar stations, transformer substations).

  • Avoid areas prone to impounded water, soaking, leakage, or condensation.

  • Ensure plenty of airflow for ventilation.
