An often overlooked feature of most cellular network operator accounts is the ability to send email as SMS messages (email to text). To do this, create a new regular user in NetCloud Manager with the following as an email, depending on the network operator:
T-Mobile: <phonenumber>@tmomail.net
Sprint: <phonenumber>@messaging.sprint.com
US Cellular: <phonenumber>@email.uscc.net
You may need to login into NetCloud Manager at least once to confirm the account. Afterwards, you may add the account as an email destination for any Alerts.
Important
AT&T and Verizon no longer support email to text. Test the remaining network providers to see whether this feature is still available. Due to aggressive SPAM rules, alerts may be blocked by the network. Additionally, while human-generated email to text messages may be successful on the remaining networks, automated (machine-generated) alerts sent by this feature may be blocked.
