Complete the following to enable Beacon mode:

  1. Log into NetCloud Manager.

  2. Select Devices in the left-side navigation panel.

  3. Select the desired router.

  4. Select the Remote Connect menu and then select Device UI.

  5. Select Open Device UI.

  6. Log in to the device from the LOGIN screen. The default username is "admin". Default passwords are supplied with routers.

  7. Navigate to SYSTEM IoT Bluetooth.

  8. Under Beacon Settings, select Beacon Enabled.

  9. From the Beacon Type drop-down menu, select from the following:

    • iBeacon – The iBeacon configuration allows you to add the Universally Unique Identifier (UUID), which is a unique identifier that customers or brands want to advertise. The major number and minor number allow you to specify the asset in more verbose terms. The Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) for iBeacon specifies what the signal strength is at 1 m.

    • AltBeacon – The AltBeacon configuration allows you to specify an AltBeacon ID (40 hexadecimal characters length) and RSSI at 1 m.

    • Eddystone URL – The Eddystone URL configuration consists of the URL to broadcast, the URL Prefix or scheme, and the RSSI at 0 m.

    • Eddyston- UID – The Eddystone-UID configuration allows you to specify the namespace (20 hexadecimal characters length) and instance (12 hexadecimal characters length) of the beacon. The RSSI is calculated at 0 m.

  10. Select Save.
