The maximum transmitter out power fed into an antenna is 30 dBm (1 watt). The maximum effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP) Is 36 dBm (4 watt). To stay compliant with FCC regulations on emissions of radio frequency energy by cellular devices, the modem must reduce its transmit power by 1 dBm for every 3 dBi increase from the antenna.
Modem | Maximum Transmitted Power |
---|---|
Cat 1 | Theoretical max 30 dBm |
Cat 4 | Theoretical max 30 dBm |
Cat 6 | 22-23 dBm |
Cat 7 | 22.5-23.5 dBm |
Cat 11 | Theoretical max 30 dBm |
Cat 12 | 22-23 dBm |
Cat 18 | Theoretical max 30 dBm |
5GB | 23 dBM +/- 1.5 dBm |
Range of maximum power refers to the variance by band, not to exceed modem's maximum power transmission.
