Modems may reach the Last Date of Support before the associated endpoint in which they are embedded. These dates are documented within the comprehensive list of End-of-Life Products/Services. Ericsson may provide both NetCloud OS and modem software updates to ensure, to the extent possible by Ericsson, those modems continue working within their associated endpoint and provide technical support until the endpoint has reached its Last Date of Support. However, external factors, including but not limited to changes in operator networks or discontinued module support, may cause those modems to have reduced functionality or stop working. In such cases, the recommended action is to replace the endpoint and embedded modem with the latest technology, or in the case of products with extensible modem functions (through a captive modem, modem slot, or expansion dock), an MC400 modular modem could be added to continue to use the associated endpoint.
