Complete the following steps to configure a network:

The new network appears on the Networks page with the status of provisioning. After a few minutes the status changes to provisioned.

  1. Log into NetCloud Manager.

  2. Click NETWORKS in the left-side navigation panel.

  3. Click the Secure Connect tab.

  4. Click Add.

NetCloud Manager Secure Connect Networks page highlighting the Add button.
  5. Enter a descriptive name for the network.

  6. Input the Primary DNS server IP address.

The network's primary and secondary domain name system (DNS) settings configure the NetCloud Exchange (NCX) network-level DNS, which resolves DNS requests for anything that does not have a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) explicitly defined in NetCloud Exchange.

  7. Optional: Input the Secondary DNS server IP address.

  8. Select the region into which the NetCloud Exchange Service Gateway is deployed.

    Currently supported regions:

    • us-east-1

    • us-east-2

    • us-west-1

    • us-west-2

  9. Click Next.

  10. Select Default Route or Split Routing.

  11. If Split Routing is selected, add the routes:

    1. Click Add.

    2. Hover over the row and click the edit (pencil) icon.

Tunnel Mode section highlighting the edit (pencil) icon.
    3. Enter a destination IP address/network in CIDR format (for example, 192.168.0.0/16) and then press enter.

NOTE: These routes go toward the NCX Service Gateway. Anything not specified in this table is directed out to the Internet.

    4. Repeat as needed to add other routes.

NetCloud Manager Routing screen listing the four routes' IP addresses.
  12. Click Next to view a summary of the network configuration.

NetCloud Manager Configure Network Summary page.
  13. Click Finish.

Sites and resources may now be configured for the new network.
