- Router won't save settings
- Config settings don't save
- Configuration doesn't apply
- When config changes are made, it looks like it saves, but when going back to view the settings again later, they turn out to be the same
- Router reverts to original configuration
- Factory reset doesn't work
- Editing router configuration in the local UI
- Router has an active internet connection
- Router is or was registered in NetCloud
- In cases where the router and NetCloud cannot sync changes successfully (such as if entitlements expired, or sync was suspended due to an error), the configuration in NetCloud will take priority and overwrite any local changes.
- If the router loses its configuration (factory reset, etc), then as soon as it checks in with the server it'll re-download the last saved configuration on the server.
- Verify the NCM subscription is current
- Make sure the router doesn't show a sync suspended error in NetCloud
- Make necessary changes from NetCloud and allow the router to sync
- Select the router in NetCloud Devices list
- Click Configuration dropdown at the top of the page
- Select Clear
If the router is not correctly synching because its entitlements expired, as a temporary workaround, it's possible to unregister the router from NetCloud:
- Navigate to System tab in the local router admin UI
- Select NetCloud tab
- Click Unregister Router
