The Settings page in NetCloud Manager allows Administrators to apply account-wide settings for all users in an account. Use the following video and information to understand the available options and configure account-wide settings.
Log into NetCloud Manager.
Select in the left-side navigation panel.
Select Settings. From the Settings tab, you can configure the following settings:
Session Length: The amount of user-inactivity time that must elapse before a user is automatically logged out of NetCloud Manager. The session length ranges between 5 minutes (minimum) to 2 hours (maximum, and the default session length is 15 minutes. If you do not set the session length, then the system automatically sets to the default value.
Note
The Session Length timer does not begin at the point of login. Instead, it starts counting from the time of your last activity on the NetCloud Manager site.This implies that your session remains active as long as you continue interacting with the platform. If no activity is detected for the duration of session length after the last action, then the user is logged out.
System Administrator Email: The email address of the primary system administrator for the account.
Force MFA: Allows an account administrator to require Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all users in an account. When Force MFA is enabled, account users are required to provide an additional authentication (MFA) credential when logging into NetCloud Manager. Users must configure a device (typically a mobile phone, PC, or tablet) with a Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) application, linked to their NetCloud Manager account, to generate MFA login credentials when logging into NetCloud Manager. This MFA login credential is entered by the user, after entering their email address and password, to complete the login process. Enhanced Login Security: When enabled, account login security is increased using the following methods:
A user's account is locked for 30 minutes after five failed login attempts
Note
Email notifications are sent to both the affected user email and the account administrator when an account is locked. Email notifications are not sent before accounts are locked, only after accounts are locked.
User accounts with no activity for 90 days are automatically disabled
User passwords must be changed every 90 days
Users cannot reuse any of their last four passwords when changing their password
Note
Federated Accounts do not have this option since NetCloud does not manage passwords for Federated Accounts.
