Zero Touch Provisioning, offered by Ericsson Enterprise Wireless, enables devices to be deployed without the need for a technician to manually configure them on-site. This is achieved by completing all licensing, entitlements, and device registration tasks before shipping.
With NetCloud Manager, you can preconfigure settings before the devices arrive. Once the devices are assembled, powered on, and connected to the internet, they will automatically check in with NetCloud Manager to receive their designated configurations. For more information, see About Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP).
Note
If your device(s) are not automatically checked in with NetCloud Manager, it is possible to manually connect and register devices to NetCloud Manager.See Connecting and Registering Devices to NetCloud Manager for more information.
When you first log in to NetCloud Manager, you will typically find pending devices. As an administrator, you can create new groups or assign devices to existing groups. This ensures that devices automatically receive their configurations when they connect.
Firewall Ports and Protocols for Cloud Connectivity: In some customer environments, Cradlepoint devices are connected to a private network with a firewall that filters all traffic to the public internet. See Firewall Ports and Protocols for Cloud Connectivity for the necessary micro services, fully qualified domain names (FQDNs), and required protocols/ports for creating custom firewall access policies to ensure full access to NetCloud.
