How To Configure Static Fallback Address on AP22

Configure the Fallback Address on a Cradlepoint AP22. The Fallback Address is used whenever the AP22 is unable to obtain an IP address via DHCP.

AP22
  1. Access the device UI via NetCloud Manager (NCM) or directly.
  2. Navigate to Networking → Local Networks → Local IP Networks.
  3. Select the target IP Network. By default, it will be the Primary LAN.
  4. Click IPv4 Settings.
  5. Click the “Static Fallback” checkbox.
  6. Input the required fields:
    1. IP Address
    2. Netmask
​By default, the AP22 attempts to obtain an IP address via DHCP. If it cannot obtain an address within 60 seconds, it will utilize the Fallback Address.
  • By default, the Fallback Address is 192.168.0.1/24 (netmask 255.255.255.0)
