When USB logging is enabled in NetCloud OS, and a USB device is plugged into an Ericsson Cradlepoint router, logs won't be lost due to extended disconnect or reboots. Logs can be stored on a USB flash drive when they can't be stored on the device or sent to Netcloud Manager. Using USB logging ensures that gaps in the logs don't occur because of disconnects or reboots.

The following are requirements for using USB logging.

  • USB logging must be enabled in System Logging in NetCloud OS. See System Logging in NCOS - System Settings: Administration for more information on enabling USB logging.

  • A USB device is plugged into the router.

  • NetCloud OS 7.25.80 or newer is required to retrieve USB logs in NetCloud Manager.
