If logs are not being reported to NetCloud Manager, review the following possible causes:
If a device moves from a group with Log Reporting enabled to a group that does not have Log Reporting enabled, the device will no longer report logs to NetCloud Manager.
An unstable connection between a device and NetCloud Manager can affect whether logs are reported.
If a device is continually disconnecting and reconnecting, the 60-minute interval that devices use to report to NetCloud Manager can be restarted, which delays or prevents logs from being reported to NetCloud Manager.
When a device connects or reconnects to NetCloud Manager, the log buffer capacity check occurs at 60-second intervals. A device that loses its connection to NetCloud Manager before the 60-minute interval must reach 80% log buffer capacity before it reports logs to NetCloud Manager.
If the log buffer on a device reaches capacity and is emptied before the 60-second log buffer capacity check occurs, logs will not be reported to NetCloud Manager. Note that reaching this capacity is uncommon, and in most cases, debug logging will not reach this threshold.
Devices will not report logs to NetCloud Manager when the endpoint is rebooted or when power is interrupted.
Log entries leading up to the reboot or power interruption may not be reported to NetCloud Manager.
To troubleshoot, save logs to a USB or to a syslog server. See Saving Log Files to a USB Device or Saving Log Files to a Syslog Server.
