How would I get the GPS information from the Cradlepoint IBR900 to a client device that's listening on a COM port? The IBR900 does not have an on-board serial/DB9 port for the function of reporting GPS. There is an accessory available called the COR Extensibility Port to Serial Cable. This allows you to add a serial/DB9 connection directly to your IBR900 and send GPS to external clients via serial. See the below product link for more information.

It may be worthwhile to check with the CAD/AVL manufacturers to see whether their software has other means of perceiving GPS data.
Our Send to Client GPS option sets up the Cradlepoint itself as a server, which then waits for a client device to query it for GPS data over a specific (logical) port.
The Send to Server GPS option tells the Cradlepoint to actively send GPS data to a specific IP and port, or to multicast it over the local network for any device that listens.
