Advanced APN - NCOS-Connection-Manager/Advanced-APN

This table is used to enter a list of additional Access Point Names (APNs) and the carrier for which the APN is valid. The router attempts to use this list of APNs, followed by the well-known APNs for each carrier. Entries in this table apply to all modem profiles and devices that use Default APN mode.

The value in the Carrier/PLMN column specifies when the corresponding APN should be used. When the modem's home carrier or Home PLMN matches the value specified in the Carrier/PLMN column, the Connection Manager will iteratively configure the modem to use each APN with a matching Carrier/PLMN value until a connection is successfully made, or all APNs have been attempted. (If all entries have been attempted unsuccessfully, the modem will use Cradlepoint's automatic APN selection algorithm.)

Because the value in the Carrier/PLMN column must match what is reported by the modem, copy the "Home Carrier" or "Home PLMN ID" from the Internet Connections Status page for use in this column. Either the Carrier name or PLMN may be used to accommodate network operators who may operate more than one PLMN, or to remove variances in carrier names that may occur with some modems. In these cases, whichever is more general may be used. For example, AT&T operates networks using PLMNs 310410 and 310170 in the United States. Configuring the Advanced APN setting to use a carrier of "AT&T" will match both networks. This can be useful if you have multiple AT&T static SIMs that would otherwise require configuring a specific connection profile for each to be able to connect.
