Saving and Managing Ericsson Cradlepoint Router Log Files

Complete the following to manage system logs:

  1. Log into NetCloud Manager.

  2. Select Devices in the left-side navigation panel.

  3. Select the desired router.

  4. Select the Remote Connect menu and then select Device UI.

  5. Select Open Device UI.

  6. Log in to the device from the LOGIN screen. The default username is "admin". Default passwords are supplied with routers.

  7. Navigate to STATUS > System Logs.

  8. Use the options provided to manage a router's system logs:

    • Auto Update – Select this checkbox to automatically refresh the log and display router events immediately as they occur.

    • Update Once – Use this option to update your log file view with the most recent events.

    • Clear Log – Clear all entries in the log.

    • Save Log – Save your router's log entries to a persistent storage device.

    • Save Filtered Log – Save the log entries from a filtered view of your log.

    • Log Summary – Display a color-coded chart of log events grouped by logging level.

    • Recover Log – Create a file with information about the router's currently installed firmware version.

    • Clear Recover Log – Clear the entries in the Recover Log.

    Filter the grid using the following fields:

    • Time – A time value, in US military, 24-hour clock notation, to view the log entries for that time only. For example, to view the log entries for 3:00 p.m., type "15" in this field. To view the log entries for 3:30 p.m., type "15:30" in this field. To view the log entries for 3:30 and 45 seconds, type "15:30:45" in this field.

    • Source – The source of the log entry. This is the entity in NetCloud that generated the log event.

    • Level – The logging level of the log entry: Debug, Info, Warning, Error, and Critical.

    • Message – Allows you filter your results by a string contained in the log entry message.
