Use the following steps to save an Ericsson Cradlepoint router's log files to a USB device.

Saving log files to USB requires NetCloud OS version 6.0 and later.

See Supported USB Storage Devices for information compatible USB devices.

  1. Log into NetCloud Manager.

  2. Select Devices in the left-side navigation panel.

  3. Select the desired router.

  4. Select the Remote Connect menu and then select Device UI.

  5. Select Open Device UI.

  6. Log in to the device from the LOGIN screen. The default username is "admin". Default passwords are supplied with routers.

  7. Navigate to SYSTEM > Administration > System Logging.

  8. Select Log to attached USB stick.

  9. Click Save.

  10. Insert a USB storage device into a USB port on the Ericsson Cradlepoint router.

    Note

The USB storage device must be formatted as FAT32 and GPT partitioned. If the USB storage device is full, logging to the device will stop. Logs saved to the device do not overwrite any existing files on the storage device.

The router's log files will be saved concurrently to the router's memory and the USB device.

    Important

Disable the log to attached USB stick option before removing the USB storage device. Failure to do so can result in an incomplete log file. Use the following steps to disable the log to attached USB stick option:

    1. Navigate to SYSTEM > Administration > System Logging.

    2. Disable the Log to attached USB stick option, and then click the Save button.

    3. Remove the USB device from the router.
