Complete the following steps to install the Open Virtualization Appliance (OVA) file:

  1. Click the host in the left-side navigation panel.

  2. Click Create/Register VM.

  3. Select Deploy a virtual machine from an OVF or OVA file and then click Next.

  4. Enter a descriptive name for the virtual machine.

    Note

    Cradlepoint recommends entering a descriptive name for future reference that does not duplicate an existing virtual machine's name.

  5. Click to select or drag and drop the NCX Service Gateway OVA file, and then click Next.

  6. Select the proper datastore and then click Next.

  7. Match the NCX Service Gateway network interfaces to the port groups and then click Next.

    Note

    The NCX Service Gateway virtual machine can be thick provision lazy zeroed when using dedicated hardware for the NCX Service Gateway, or thin provision to maximize space.

    Note

    If network mappings do not populate, then select the defaults, complete the deployment, and then edit the virtual machine.

  8. Review the settings and then click Finish.
