Overview Guide

To locate interfaces in the network interfaces grid by specific criteria, use the filtering options available on the Network Interfaces page.

Use the drop-down menu next to the Filter button to quickly filter the network interfaces grid. The following filters are available:

  • All Interfaces (default)

  • Ethernet - Modem

  • VLAN

  • Wi-Fi

  • Wi-Fi as WAN

  • Wi-Fi Bridge

Note

The network interfaces grid displays a count of all selected network interfaces. This count contains selections made on both visible and non-visible pages in the grid.

Basic and Advanced Filtering Options

Click the Filter button to filter the Network Interfaces grid using basic and advanced filtering options.

Bookmarking Filters

Filter criteria can be saved as bookmarks in web browsers. Once a filter has been created, save the filtered page as a bookmark. The filtering in use when the bookmark was created is restored when the bookmark is used.

Basic Filtering

Enter a search term in the Type to Filter field to filter the grid on that term.

Advanced Filtering

Click Advanced to use any of the following advanced filtering options to filter the grid.

Note

Several often-used fields from the Routers grid are available for filtering on the Network Interfaces grid. These fields are called out in the Filterable fields list.

Select a top-level filter from the first drop-down menu. The following fields are available for filtering:

After selecting a top-level filter, choose an operator (equals, greater than, or less than) and then add the specific filter criterion in the Type to Filter. Click the Add button to begin filtering by the selected criteria.

Online Status Filtering

The following online status filters are available:

  • Connected

  • Disconnected: Expandable to filter on devices in either, or both, the Disconnected or Disconnecting states.

  • Standby

  • Connecting: Expandable to filter on devices in either, or both, the Connecting or Suspended states.

  • Unplugged

  • Unconfigured

  • Available: Expandable to filter on devices in either, or both, the Available or Standby Connecting states.

Carrier

Filter by selected carriers where the carrier is unknown.

Service Type

  • Ethernet

  • Not Available

  • Wi-Fi as WAN

Signal Strength

  • Excellent (75-100%)

  • Good (50-74%)

  • Fair (25-49%)

  • Poor (1-24%)

  • Very Poor (0%)
