To setup Console access to any third-party router, configure the USB port on the adapter:

  1. Log into NetCloud Manager.

  2. Select Groups in the left-side navigation.

  3. Select the L950 adapter’s group.

  4. Select Configuration.

  5. Select Edit.

  6. Navigate to SYSTEM > Serial Redirector.

  7. Select one of the following from the USB Serial Port drop-down menu in the USB Serial Adapter Configuration section.

    • For FTDI USB to Serial RS232 port adapters, select USB UART.

    • For Cisco routers with micro-USB console ports, select USB CDC-ACM. This option supports a USB Type-A to USB Mini/Micro cable for connecting to Cisco routers.

    Note

    Cisco does make available a dongle for RJ45 to micro-USB connection. This is useful if your existing cabling already had RJ45 connectors.

  8. From the Baud Rate drop-down menu, select the baud rate of the device to which you are connecting. Some are at a high 115K baud rate, while most are at 9600.

  9. Select Save.
