The adapter is only powered through PoE. For this Validated Design using IP-Passthrough (IPPT), Ericsson Enterprise Wireless pre- configures the LAN2 port as IPPT, and is also the PoE port to power the adapter.

The adapter is attached in the “Active Cellular Backup” use case. LAN1 port is not part of the “Active Cellular Backup” use case. It is part of the advanced out-of-band management solution that provides IP access to the local LAN for purposes of using Ericsson Cradlepoint’s LAN Manager function to access browser-based applications locally. Ericsson Enterprise Wireless supports remote browsing from the LAN1 Ethernet port as part of LAN Manager. NAT MODE can be part of the out-of-band management functionality to help manage the third-party router.

  5. Power up the adapter.

  6. Activate the adapter through NetCloud Manager.

Using the Verify mobile app from your phone you can install and activate the adapter and register it with NetCloud Manager and attach it to your NetCloud Manager ID. For more information, see Ericsson NetCloud Verify.
