A resource group helps associate all relevant resource for the NetCloud Virtual Edge.

Complete the following steps to create a resource group in which to create the virtual machine, if one does not already exist:

  1. In the Azure portal, hover over Resource groups in the list of Azure services.

  2. Select Create.

  3. Select an available subscription.

  4. Enter a descriptive name for the resource group.

  5. Select the region in which the requested NetCloud Virtual Edge image was shared, from the drop-down list.

  6. Select Review + create.

  7. Click Create to complete the wizard.

    A notification appears in the top-right corner of the screen after the resource group is created.

Make note of the resource group name to enter it later within the virtual machine command-line interface (CLI) command.

The following resources are added to the newly created resource group:

  • One virtual network

  • Two regular network interfaces

    • WAN

    • LAN

  • One public WAN IP address

  • Two network security groups

    • WAN

    • LAN

  • One storage account
