  • Unable to register the router to NetCloud
  • When attempting to register a router to NetCloud, getting the message "Registration Error: NONE"
  • Able to telnet to  stream.cradlepointecm.com from the router, over port 8001
    • telnet stream.cradlepointecm.com 8001
  • Same registration error after re-registering, after a reboot, and after factory reset
  • Logs show messages like:
08:22:39 AM WARN netcloud Connection Dropped (timed out)
08:53:24 AM INFO netcloud Registration Error: None
  • NetCloud Manager entitled
  • Registering router from local UI
  • Devices and Groups tabs are visible in NCM
  • Other routers are successfully being registered with the same credentials at other locations
  • Other routers are successfully being registered using the same WAN ISP at other locations
  • Other routers from the same location are also failing to register
The NCM registration request uses UDP, so if any device upstream of the Cradlepoint is blocking UDP traffic, the registration will fail even though other communication with NetCloud might continue flowing through correctly.
