This article will provide insight and tips on troubleshooting the No Modem error messages. 

  • Cradlepoint Endpoint with internal or MC400 Modem. 
  1. Gain physical access to the endpoint.
  2. Verify that all SIM doors and connections (i.e., power) are properly configured.
  3. If an MC400 - ensure proper installation into the endpoint.
  4. Verify the NCOS version meets the minimum requirements for the Modem Firmware.
    1. Minimum NCOS Versions Compatible with Cradlepoint Modem Firmware
  5. Reset the endpoint
Router does not see the cellular modem because of modem firmware issues
Cellular modem is not detected because of a modem plug issue
