Summary
This statement describes the process for enabling Ericsson NetCloud Manager Static IP feature that allows for software updates and functionality delivered by NetCloud Manager through private network access. In particular private networks that feature a customer firewall policy that cannot accept the fully qualified domain names (FQDNs) per best practice as listed in Firewall Ports and Protocols for Cloud Connectivity.
The NetCloud Manager Static IP feature is available in all NetCloud Regions, any caveats per micro service are listed in the NetCloud Services and Their Static IP Addresses table. For more information, see Introducing NetCloud Regions.
Who Is Affected
This process applies to Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions customers who access Ericsson NetCloud Manager from a private network and cannot use FQDNs in their firewall policy to allow endpoint connectivity to NetCloud. As a result, the customer firewall policy requires a list of static IP addresses for NetCloud initiated updates; NetCloud OS, modem software, IDS/IPS signature updates, and Remote Connect.
Actions Required
Contact Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions Global Service & Support (+1.855.813.3385) to request that your NetCloud account be enabled for the NetCloud Manager Static IP feature. This process takes three business days to complete.
