The following task applies to existing NetCloud Exchange Service Gateways deployed in warm standby mode in an AWS environment that are being upgraded to NetCloud OS 7.24.60. The AWS environment dictates a route change for the primary lan0 to move to the standby lan0 when a failover event occurs. The new CloudFormation (CFN) template includes updates that address the AWS route change, and installation is required to maintain functionality.
Complete the following steps to upgrade lan0 in warm standby mode:
Download the latest CFN template from https://ncsg-images.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/aws/ncxsg-aws-ha-with-lan.yaml.
Log into the AWS Console.
In the AWS portal, select All Services and navigate to the Management & Governance section.
Select CloudFormation.
Click Stacks in the left-side navigation panel.
Select the previously configured stack.
Click the Templates tab to view the template used during the stack deployment.
Copy the AMI ID that corresponds to the region in which the NCX Service Gateways were deployed from the Mappings section.
Edit the corresponding attribute in the downloaded CFN template with the copied AMI ID.
Update the stack with the edited CFN template.
