  • Connect the grounding wire to the ground using the installed 8mm long, 8.5mm diameter screw.

  • Connect an Ethernet cable to the PoE 2.5G LAN1 port and plug the other end into the included 802.3bt (90W) PoE-injector, or an 802.3bt enabled port on an attached router or switch (not included).

    Note

    Be sure the cable gland is properly assembled to prevent leaks:

  • If using the included 802.3bt (90W) PoE-injector, be sure to also connect an Ethernet cable between the PoE-injector and the WAN port of your connected networking equipment.

  • Ensure the PoE injector, router, or switch port is powered. The power LEDs will begin to light up. Refer to the Understanding LEDs section in this document for more information about the LED light indicators.

Note

When connecting this equipment (with or without power over ethernet supplied) to devices that are mounted on the exterior of the building, it is recommended to include proper lightning protection (not included in box) to prevent damage to the equipment.
