  • What does "Store and Forward" do?

  • Are GPS sentences stored while the internet connection is down?

  • How many GPS points can a router “Store & Forward” while cellular data is offline (but GPS lock remains)?

  • Will the router also store and forward GPS points that are generated by the router’s dead reckoning ability (IBR1700 only)?

  • Does the new Store and Forward ability extend to any of the GPIO functionality?

  1. How many GPS points can a router “Store & Forward” while cellular data is offline (but GPS lock remains)?
    • Under normal operation, the local router sends a GPS point update to NetCloud Manager once every 10 seconds (i.e. 10Hz).  When the data connection is offline, the router will store up to 360 points, which equals 3600 seconds, or 1 hours’ worth of time.
  2. Will the router also store and forward GPS points that are generated by the router’s dead reckoning ability (IBR1700 only)?
    • Yes, GPS points created by dead reckoning will also be stored and forwarded to NCM when data connection is reestablished.
  3. Does the new Store and Forward ability extend to any of the GPIO functionality?
  • No, this would need to a new feature request and development.
  • Store and Forward is available on NCOS 7.1.30+
