Why is my IP in NCM different from the IP I see in connection manager?
- Many ISPs provide private NATed addresses
- NCM displays the apparent public address of the device after NAT (the same IP that public websites would see)
- Connection manager shows the IP address on the interface, which is before NAT
- If your device is NATed by your ISP, it will not be possible to use port forwarding or other features that require establishing an inbound connection.
