Use the following procedure to add an eSIM profile.

  1. Login to NetCloud Manager.

  2. Select Devices > eSIMs > Activations.

  3. Select Add eSIM Profile(s).

  4. Use the Add eSIM Profile(s) panel to add required information about the eSIM profile. This information can be added directly to the panel by selecting Add eSIM Details one at a time or added in a .CSV file by selecting Upload CSV File.

    • eSIM ID (required): Available from a device's dashboard after the eSIM slot has been specified in NetCloud OS.

      1. Go to the Devices page and select the device containing the eSIM to open the device's dashboard.

      2. Navigate to Home > Interfaces > Networks.

      3. Select the eSIM interface card to open the interface's details drawer.

      4. Locate the Modem Identifier section and copy the EID from the eSIM ID (EID) field.

        Note

        A device must be online and using the eSIM selected in NetCloud OS to display the EID on the Device Dashboard.

    • eSIM Activation Code (required): This code is supplied by the carrier; you must contact your carrier to obtain the activation code.

    • Confirmation Code (optional): The confirmation code can be added when supplied by the carrier.

    • Nickname (optional): A name to easily identify the eSIM profile.

    When using a .CSV file to upload eSIM-profile information, the .CSV file must contain columns with the names exactly as shown in the following list.

    • eid

    • activation_string

    • confirmation_code

    • nickname

  5. Select Add.

  6. The grid on the Devices > eSIMs > Activations page will display the profile just added along with the status of the activation. One of the following activation statuses will be displayed.

    • Activated: The eSIM was successfully activated.

    • Error: An error occurred while activating the eSIM. See Troubleshooting eSIM Activations for more information on what to do when activation errors occur.
