NetCloud allows permissions to be assigned to a custom role. Some permissions have dependent permission and subscription requirements. The following table lists available permissions, their dependencies, and limitations.

Updates to custom role permissions are listed in the following table and can also be found in the NetCloud Manager Release Notes.

View Device Information

Allows a user to view individual device and network interfaces information, including:

  • Viewing Device and Network Interfaces grid information

  • Viewing some Device dashboard information, including:

    • Home tab (Summary, Interfaces, Geoview, and Details only)

    • Health tab

Device information not currently viewable:

  • Viewing the Configuration, Data Usage, Security, Extensibility tabs from the device dashboard

  • Viewing Licensing and Install History from the Home tab on the device dashboard.

  • Viewing the Configuration Summary

Manage Devices

View Device Information

Allows the user to edit and manage individual devices. Permissions include:

  • Editing information in the Router and Network Interfaces grid

  • Moving a router between groups (user must also be assigned the View Group Information permission)

  • Rebooting a router

  • Running a Wi-Fi Site survey

  • Access to the Troubleshooting tab on the device dashboard

Permissions not currently available:

  • Viewing the Configuration, Data Usage, Security, Extensibility tabs from the device dashboard

  • Viewing Licensing and Install History from the Home tab on the device dashboard.

  • Managing Geoview. Currently Geoview is view only.

  • Restoring a device to default

  • Updating IPS signatures

  • Converting Captive Modem

  • Managing CloudShark
