The following procedure resumes with the steps taken in NetCloud Manager after the required settings have been mapped between NetCloud Manager and the IdP app. These steps are required for completing the integration between NetCloud Manager and the IdP app.

  1. Click Next after completing the fields on the SAML Mappings page.

  2. Review the settings on the Summary page. If you need to make any changes, click Previous to navigate back through the wizard and make the changes.

  3. Click Finish.

  4. Click OK in the Ready to Activate SSO dialog. Leave the logged-in NetCloud Manager session open.

    Important

You must be logged into NetCloud Manager the first time you click your app's tile. If you are not logged-in you will be unable to complete the integration.

Do NOT use an 'Incognito' or 'Private' browser to attempt the integration. The newly created NCM app should open a tab in the same browser window where you are currently logged in.

  5. Navigate to the IdP's dashboard and click the tile for the NCM app.

The first time the tile is clicked, NetCloud Manager analyzes the configuration settings in the IdP app and in NetCloud Manager. If the configuration settings don't have errors (missing or misnamed attributes, etc) the completion page displays.

If any changes are required in the configuration settings, the completion page alerts you of what changes are necessary and prompts you to correct the configuration before you can proceed.

You must confirm on the completion page that you understand the restrictions with using an SSO setup to access NetCloud.

    Note

The completion page displays a note with the following text.

"Based on your SAML assertion, an existing user was found in NetCloud and will retain their existing role."

This just to inform you that when a NetCloud user is referenced in the IdP SAML their NetCloud permissions are not overridden with IdP permissions.

  6. Select I agree to these restrictions and then click Complete SAML SSO Migration. A dialog displays confirming your integration is successful.

  7. Test the integration by navigating to your IdP's dashboard and clicking the NCM app tile.

NetCloud Manager should open with you logged into your NCM account. This means SSO for NCM is enabled for the account and available to your users. If SP-Initiated logins are enabled, your users will also be able to use the Sign In With SSO option from the NetCloud login screen.
