NetCloud Manager Activity Log events are recorded in a concise, structured format. This format contains who is responsible for the event, what the event is, and which entity in NetCloud Manager is affected by the event. Activity Log events are created and logged when an initiator (known as an actor) performs an activity (known as an action) upon an NetCloud Manager entity (known as an object) within an account.

  • actor (actor type): the initiator of an action (e.g. user, system, etc)

  • action (action type): something an actor did (updated a device configuration, logged in, created a group, etc)

  • object (object type): the NetCloud Manager entity acted upon by an actor (e.g. sso acount, router, net_device, etc)

For example, the activity log entry:

'user <> registered a router'

means a user (the actor) registered (the action) a router (the object).
