Subaccounts are accounts created under the root account to contain and manage objects such as User Accounts, Devices, and device Groups. You can view and manage these accounts from the Accounts tab. Subaccounts are used to organize accounts and devices and restrict access somewhat like a directory service is used to manage network domains. Note the following about subaccounts:
Users that are created or moved in a subaccount can only see devices and groups under the subaccount (including "sub-subaccounts").
Users in the root folder can see all subaccounts and devices therein, but users in subaccounts cannot see above them.
Groups must be created in the subaccount in which they will reside. Click
next to subaccount on the group creation screen.Groups cannot be moved to another subaccount once created
Devices can be moved at any point between accounts, subaccounts, and the groups therein by selecting them from the Devices screen and selecting "move".
Existing users can be moved at any point between accounts and subaccounts.
New users need to be created under the accounts tab with the "add" button, but then can be moved with the above procedure.
Subaccounts can't be deleted if they contain users, subaccounts, routers or groups. Before attempting to delete a subaccount, remove any users, subaccounts, routers or groups from the subaccount or the deletion of the subaccount will fail.
