Use the following to troubleshooting issues with MFA.

Cannot Log into NetCloud Manager

If you lock yourself out of your NetCloud Manager account with MFA enabled, a NetCloud Manager administrator can disable MFA on your account by removing your MFA token.

  1. Log into NetCloud Manager.

  2. Select Account in the left-side navigation panel.

  3. Click the Users & Roles tab.

    The Users page displays.

  4. Select the user to disable MFA for and then click Edit.

  5. Click Clear MFA Token to disable the MFA login requirement for the selected user.

  6. Click Clear to confirm clearing the user's MFA token.

    Clear MFA Token

After clearing a user's MFA token, their account view indicates that MFA has been disabled.

Remove or Reset a MFA Token

Users may clear their own MFA token if they are logged in to NetCloud Manager. This is helpful if you change your TOTP application and need to generate an MFA token for a different application or device.

The Clear MFA Token button has a slightly different effect depending on whether Force MFA was enabled by an administrator for all members of an account or MFA was enabled by an individual user for only their account login.

For a user who is a member of an account with Force MFA enabled for all members, the Clear MFA Token button disassociates that user's TOTP-enabled device with the account. However, since the account still has Force MFA enabled for all users, the next time the user attempts to log in to the account, they will be required to set up MFA again.

For a user who has individually enabled MFA for their account, clicking the Clear MFA Token button disables MFA for that user. The user may enable and configure MFA again through their Profile dialog using the Set Up MFA Device button or by using the Edit User dialog on the Account page.

Use the following steps to clear your MFA token:
  1. Log into NetCloud Manager.

  2. In the top-right corner of NetCloud Manager, click the Profile icon 130945_spr.png.

  3. Click the Edit icon edit.png next to your name.

  4. Click Clear MFA to remove the token.

    Click Clear MFA
  5. Click Yes.

  6. Click Close.
