Additional requirements and considerations include the following:

  • Certified Professional Installer (CPI) — A CPI is required to complete SAS registration.

  • Mobility Gateway and Cellular APs Requirements:

    • Four separate Layer 2 networks are required.

      • The networks can use four physical NICs, or a vSwitch with multiple port groups (VLANs) and a trunk port.

    • Cellular APs must be on the same L2 segment as the SECGW interface, or must have an available route in the network to connect to the mobility gateway.

    • The IP address for the mobility gateway must be set to the IP address of the Secure Gateway (SECGW) interface.

    • The mobility gateway and Cellular Access Points (AP) require an internet connection.

    • The mobility gateway and Cellular APs each have port requirements. See Port Requirement, for more information.

  • Cradlepoint Routers and Adaptors—While not required, Cradlepoint routers and adaptors connect businesses through 4G and 5G network signals. Cradlepoint’s selection of routers and adaptors are fit for various use cases from branch connectivity and continuity to connecting IoT devices and can be easily added to Ericsson Private 5G Compact.

  • Throughput and Licensing — Consider planning for more physical network interface capacity than the 500 Mbps / 2 Gbps / 5 Gbps license being purchased. See Stacking Bandwidth Licenses for more information.
